Lie Detector Character Design

For my illustrations class, our assignment was to design a character for the 1960s board game, Lie Detector. I created a character called "The Witch". First, I did 12 initial roughs for the design. Once, I chose the design I liked, I created 6 more detailed versions of the design. Then, I created 3 different layouts for the illustration with different poses for the character. Finally, I added a few finishing touches and a simple background!

I chose the last design in my thumbnails, a more modern looking witch. Then I did six more variations of her design.

I liked the witch with the roses and the grungy witch. So I took their designs and played with a few different poses.
