Titanic "I'm Flying" Scene Reshoot

For a class project, we had to choose an iconic scene from film and reimagine it by storyboarding it ourselves. We basically got to play director and shoot a scene how we wanted to! I challenged myself and chose one of the most iconic scenes in film history, the "I'm Flying" scene from Titanic!
I went into this project wanted to make the scene a bit less "cheesy" than the original. My professor suggested that I focus on intimate moment as if this were a coming of age tale. She suggested movies like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Ladybird. So, after watching a few scenes from those movies, I decided to zoom in on details like hands, mouths and eyes instead of sweep cinematic shots. I also focused on what the characters are seeing and what they are feeling!
I also created an animatic with the original audio!
Overall, I'm really happy with this project! I was a challenge, but I really enjoyed it!
